Talking about something that is annoying… The constant barrage of anti-Republican and highly political messages here! Don’t get me wrong. I don’t like the GOP… I don’t like Sarah Palin but it would be nice to see basic annoying topics here like…. Shoe laces that never stay tied or the call procedures at the DMV.. I’ve been a member of this site for 6 months and joined because I loved the inane annoyances.. For political banter I can go to CNN.com, the Onion, The SmirkingChimp, Buzzflash, NewsMax…. and the list goes on… Leave politics where they belong.. on their own trashy sites….
While President Obama is on a trip overseas the right wing has led a relentless attack on Obama and other Democrats.
Rachel Maddow ran a segment on this and how it is moving the fringe right to a path of possible violence.
newstimes.com reports that hundreds gathered in front of Joe Lieberman’s house in Connecticut to urge him to see the light on health care reform and support a public option.
“When we heard not only would he vote against it, but he’d use his power, his position as a swing vote … to block it from coming to a vote, we had to send a message so he knows people who vote overwhelmingly favor the public option,” said Rabbi Stephen Fuchs, of Congregation Beth Israel in West Hartford.
“On Sunday, clergy from several religious dominations prayed in three languages outside the fourth-term senator’s home on Strawberry Hill Avenue, surrounded by a crowd the Fire Marshal’s Office estimated to number nearly 500.”
“After several failed attempts to schedule a private meeting with Lieberman, the Interfaith Fellowship for Universal Health Care thought instead they would come to him, said the Rev. Abraham Hernandez, one of the group’s ..continue reading
The Catholic Archdiocese of Washington has decided to wage war against Washington DC.
According to the Washington Post the DC City Council is to vote next month on legalizing same sex marriages.
The Church responded today by threatening to cut off charitable and social services in the DC area, “a threat that could affect tens of thousands of people the church helps with adoption, homelessness and health care.”

Advocates for same-sex couples said they could not immediately think of other places where a same-sex marriage law had set off a break with a major faith-based provider of social services.”
It is time ..continue reading

The latest out of Rhode Island is that Gov. Donald Carcieri vetoed a bill that would give same-sex couples the right to plan the funerals of their deceased partners.
His explanation is that the bill is a “disturbing trend” toward the erosion of heterosexual marriage.
What is he talking about? He is just imposing his personal beliefs on others.
Rhode Island is one of the only states ..continue reading
