Flyswatter in chief

It looks like PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) has lost it. A fly was bothering President Obama during and interview at the White House on Tuesday. The President tried to persuade it to go away by saying “Get out of here” but when it kept bothering him he smashed it.

PETA was unhappy with this and decided to send the Presdient a Katcha Bug Humane Bug Catcher, a device that allows users to trap a house fly and then release it. It went on to state  ”We support compassion even for the most curious, smallest and least sympathetic animals,” PETA spokesman Bruce Friedrich said Wednesday. “We believe that people, where they can be compassionate, should be, for all animals.” While PETA is happy with Obama’s voting record on animal rights Friedrich said   ”swatting a fly on TV indicates he’s not perfect”.

My family has supported PETA in some of its animal rights agendas but I think this is ridiculous and discredits the organization.

Aman, my friend. The old saying is give someone an inch today they will want a mile tomorrow. I will call PETA to take care of all of my bug problems, and retire my shoe, newspaper, non toxic traps.

Why us it that in some peoples eyes President Obama can do no right. What is this world coming too? Next time I get a fly I’ll apologize first and then try to ask it to leave and if that doesn’t work I will just have to get rid of it.!!

PETA has taken stupidity and extremism to a new level. With all of the real problems we have in this world today it is truly paththetic we have an organized group obsessing about flies. Extremist organizations like PETA are exactly what is wrong with the world today. I find extremism in any form repugnant. When these people from PETA and others like them look in the mirror in the morning they are looking at exactly what is wrong with this world today.
