Some just can not come to terms that the “death panel” lie was a lie. A huge lie.

But there will always be some right wingers out there that will not give it up.

Sarah Palin ruined Christmas for at least one of these wingnuts.

Bunny from Parsons, Kansas called CSPAN to complain about the passage of the health care reform bill by the Senate.

“I have taken my Christmas wreath off my house. I have taken all the lights down. This is supposed to be a nation under God, and it isn’t. They absolutely have ruined Christmas.”

“So you took down your Christmas tree because of the Senate health care bill?”  asked C-SPAN host Peter Slen.

“I certainly did. And I would like to see every light in the nation go out, especially in the White House” she replied.

She continued that her reason for her outrage and opposition is because its death panel provisions will unleash a ..continue reading

Another Republican talking point problem

All summer long we had to listen to Republicans led by dimwit Palin trying to convince seniors that health care reform will include “death panels”, the right of the government to decide who lives and who dies.

Although disproved by every fact checking organization and found to be a lie by every intelligent person out there, the right wingers persisted in spreading this lunacy. This week Sarah Palin again claimed that this is part of health care reform on her twitter page.

This morning thinprogress reports that the same company that insures the RNC and the one that provided abortion coverage to them since 1991 (which they supposedly opted out of yesterday) also includes coverage for “end of life counseling” services, what the Republicans have mutated into “death panels”.

It is not clear if the RNC policy includes this option but CIGNA does provide it to its policy holders. thinkprogess states that CIGNA ..continue reading

Add Palin to the two-faced hypocrite list

How much will it take to wake up Americans especially seniors to realize that the far right winguts and their corporate sponsors are not interested in them when it comes to health care reform?

Sarah Palin, one of my favorite wingnuts and intellectual dimwits, stirred up all grandmas and grandpas with her “death panel” declaration last week.

It turns out that like Gingrich she was all for end of life planning (which is what she now calls “death panels”) while governor of Alaska. In fact in April of 2008 Alaska had a Healthcare Decisions Day when she proclaimed the following:

“WHEREAS, Healthcare Decisions Day is designed to raise public awareness of the need to plan ahead for healthcare decisions, related to end of life care and medical decision-making whenever patients are unable to speak for themselves and to encourage the specific use of advance directives to communicate these important healthcare decisions.”

“WHEREAS, one of ..continue reading
