David Santuomo, an Ohio firefighter decided to take his two dogs into his basement and shoot them 11 times because he didn’t want to pay to have them boarded while he went on vacation.

What will it take to change the laws governing who can and can not purchase a gun or rifle in this country?
First we have the killing of Dr. Tiller in his church in Kansas because he provided women’s health care including late term abortions. A killing by a madman. A killing that could probably been prevented if the existing FACE law was enforced and if gun control was tightened.
and today we have the killing of Stephen Tyrone Johns, a security guard at the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington DC by another madman. James von Brunn, an 88-year-old white supremacist from Maryland.
Tightening gun laws may not prevent all madmen from obtaining guns but if it saves one person it is worth it.
