The Bush dummies

Over the last few days we heard from many Republicans how Obama is responsible for the attempted attack on the airliner on Christmas day.

Some of the most vocal, hypocritical attacks on Obama are from those Bush dummies, Rove and Cheney.

The other day Rove appearing on Hannity’s show said “Look, they woke him up immediately to tell him he won the Nobel Prize but couldn’t bother to interrupt his vacation for three hours to tell him a terrorist tried to bring down a plane on Christmas Day. And the President waits 72 hours before we hear from him, and it’s over 72 hours from the time of the incident to the time that the President spoke today, and then the President said some things that are simply not true.”

First Obama was briefed immediately when it was apparent that this was an attack and more importantly Rove must have a very short term ..continue reading

NBC Rove vs. FOX Rove

Yesterday morning, Karl Rove appeared on NBC and told Matt Lauer that if Obama decides to send 30,000-35,000 more troops to Afghanistan he would be “among the first to stand up and applaud.”

As expected from two-faced Rove he did not stand up and applaud Obama but proceeded to bash him.

thinkprogress reported that after Obama’s speech last night Rove appeared on FOX and had the following exchange with O’Reilly:

O’REILLY: I did not see a Winston Churchill-type performance. … Summing up, the president’s speech tonight was OK but not exactly the Gettysburg Address.

ROVE: I mean, I think he might need a new teleprompter with some Energizer bunny batteries in it. You know, look, at the core of tonight was good news, but it was badly delivered in a — you know, in a weak frame.

ROVE: And the enemy knows that we’re going to send one quarter less troops than was ..continue reading

Darth Vader resurfaces

Dick Cheney is at it again. His advice to Obama on Afghanistan: don’t think just do what we did. As with Karl Rove’s recent attacks, these clowns are trying to rewrite history.

Cheney at yesterday’s Center for Security Policy “We should all be concerned as well with the direction of policy on Afghanistan. For quite a while, the cause of our military in that country went pretty much unquestioned, even on the left. The effort was routinely praised by way of contrast to Iraq, which many wrote off as a failure until the surge proved them wrong. Now suddenly – and despite our success in Iraq – we’re hearing a drumbeat of defeatism over Afghanistan. These criticisms carry the same air of hopelessness, they offer the same short-sighted arguments for walking away, and they should be summarily rejected for the same reasons of national security.”

Robert Novak dies

I would like to say that I feel sorrow for any person who dies and I certainly feel for the family of someone who dies.

But there are certain people that just don’t seem to deserve much sorrow and sympathy.

One of those is Robert Novak, “journalist and commentator” who I always considered to be a slimeball. In his writings and appearances he seemed to care only about himself and his career.

He practically ruined McGovern during his presidential run by claiming that blue collar workers didn’t know what McGovern stood for. He claimed that Senator Eagleton told him that McGovern was for abortions, legalizing marijuana and amnesty. He used that label to sink McGovern. Eagleton never admitted that he told this to Novak and Novak only claimed it came from Eagleton after his death. Many still believe Novak just made this up.

Novak had ties to Rove who leaked a negative story to ..continue reading
