Another Bush crony chimed in today after Obama stated that during the Bush administration the required troops were not provided to Afghanistan.

 

The Bush administration funneled the majority of resources to Iraq for the war that they lied us into which resulted in the resurgence of Al Qaeda and the Taliban in Afghanistan and Pakistan.

 

Today Donald Rumsfeld, who was fired by the Bush administration for the lousy job he was doing declared:

 

“In his speech to the nation last night, President Obama claimed that ‘Commanders in Afghanistan repeatedly asked for support to deal with the reemergence of the Taliban, but these reinforcements did not arrive.’ Such a bald misstatement, at least as it pertains to the period I served as Secretary of Defense, deserves a response.”

 

“I am not aware of a single request of that nature between 2001 and 2006. If any such requests occurred, ‘repeated’ or not, the White House should promptly make them public. The President’s ..continue reading

Ridge: alert levels manipulated by Bush admin

Can an act of creating fear in the American people be considered terrorism?

 

It appears that the Bush administration may have terrorized citizens by manipulating the terror warning levels. This according to former Homeland Security Secretary Tom Ridge.

 

In his new book to be released September 1 Ridge claims that the Bush administration had pressured him to raise the terror alert level right before the 2004 presidential elections. This would be a politically motivated act and may have some criminal implications if true.

 

I still recall the reaction to the changes in the terror alert levels by some of my business associates who were downtown in NYC on 9/11 when the planes struck the towers. One of them saw one of the planes hit the building. The people who were close to those terrorist acts were forever changed. The mere mention of another attack always put them on edge.
