Over the last few days we heard from many Republicans how Obama is responsible for the attempted attack on the airliner on Christmas day.
Some of the most vocal, hypocritical attacks on Obama are from those Bush dummies, Rove and Cheney.
The other day Rove appearing on Hannity’s show said “Look, they woke him up immediately to tell him he won the Nobel Prize but couldn’t bother to interrupt his vacation for three hours to tell him a terrorist tried to bring down a plane on Christmas Day. And the President waits 72 hours before we hear from him, and it’s over 72 hours from the time of the incident to the time that the President spoke today, and then the President said some things that are simply not true.”
First Obama was briefed immediately when it was apparent that this was an attack and more importantly Rove must have a very short term ..continue reading
How many Americans did not hear about the incidents on the two flights into Detroit in the last few days?
How many did not hear of the heightened security measures?
At least one person does not listen to the radio, watch TV or read a paper.
A man was questioned by the FBI after he was discovered to have taken a “pyrotechnic device” onto an airline flight from Baltimore, Maryland, to New York City.
Authorities found that Thomas Ouellette, 67, of Bonita Springs, Florida, brought the pyrotechnic device onto the flight that landed at LaGuardia Airport Sunday night. The device was placed in evidence, and Ouellette was issued a federal summons to appear in federal court.
Two questions immediately come up. Why did this person think he could bring a pyrotechnic device onto a flight when you can’t even bring a bottle of water aboard? Why after the two incidents this week was the device not detected before this ..continue reading

I just read that the terrorist, Abdelbeset Ali Mohmed al Megrahi, who placed the bomb on Pan Am flight 103 that blew up over Scotland in 1988 was released and returned to Libya.
He was the only one convicted for this horrendous act. Today he was released because he has terminal prostate cancer.
It is a little difficult for me to have any compassion for someone who killed 270 people.
He was sentenced to life in jail without parole and that is what he should have served.
Some of the families of the victims blame the warming relations in the last few years between Libya and western nations. Others point out that access to Libyian oil is also part of the story.
The story of the explosion and victims of flight 103 is both sad and frightening. During the trail forensic evidence was presented that indicated that some of the victims may have been alive and conscious ..continue reading
A report released by the Government Accountability Office finds that 90% of the people on the government’s terrorist watch list who tried to buy guns or explosives were permitted to go ahead with the purchases.
I find this very troubling. GAO’s Director of Homeland Security made the following incredible statement “Under current law, there is no basis to automatically prohibit a person from possessing firearms or explosives because they appear on the terrorist watch list. Rather, there must be a disqualifying factor (i.e., prohibiting information) pursuant to federal or state law, such as a felony conviction or illegal immigration status ”.
Many have claimed that the terrorist watch list is close to worthless and this seems to substantiate that concern. The list should be cleaned up to include only those who have a reason to be on it. Once on the list, enforceable laws must be available to assure those who should not ..continue reading
