There is a line where the freedom of speech crosses over to incitement to commit violence.
Free speech is one of the reasons this country is what it is but that freedom should come with some sense of responsibility.
Incitement to commit violence should not be considered free speech. It is a direct threat.
The NYT reports that Harold Turner an Internet radio host from North Bergen NJ has been broadcasting from his home studio since 2001.
At one time is was seeking political office in NJ but when the Republican party chose a Hispanic woman instead of him he decided to turn to broadcasting his hate radio program.
He is known for his anti-immigration and anti-Semitic broadcasts.

Michael Steele was bent out of shape by a column by Thomas Friedman on Wednesday in the New York Times that the current environment is similar to the one in Israel that resulted in the assassination of Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin in 1995.
Steele’s response was ”To make those equations, examples and put that out there that way, to me is just crazy and yeah, I’m sorry, but if you’re going to approach this discussion, approach it from a rational position (LOL). They’re saying, because you disagree with the president on policy, that all of the sudden we’re going to make this leap into, you know, assassinations and all this other stuff. I mean, at the height of all this stuff on Bush and people complaining and protesting, and jumping up and down, you didn’t have this kind of conversation.”

The town hall meetings occurring across the country have exposed one striking fact. The Republicans have lost their moral bearing, if they had morals at all. They have made a commitment to oppose any form of health care reform and it is becoming more and more obvious by their absurd responses and reactions (or lack of) to their constituents.
A woman whose husband needs extensive medical and nursing support confronted Senator Tom Coburn at a town hall meeting. His response: get neighbors to help out and the government is not here to help you.
When watching this you have to question if Coburn has a heart. Coburn is a doctor and he reminds me of many doctors who are as cold as ice when dealing with patients.
Then we have someone at a Chuck Grassley town hall stating the following:
I wonder if it dawned on any of the so called “protesters” or “patriots”, or whatever they call themselves, what life would be like for them if they tried similar shenanigans if the Bush/Cheney administration was still in office. They should be thankful Obama is in office.
I bet by now they would be under interrogation by the CIA, maybe even waterboarded in one of those undeclared jails.
Here is a sample of these “Americans” (click on images to enlarge):
